Belgacom selects Alcatel-Lucent's VDSL2 fiber-to-the-node solution
Oct 10, 2007 – Belgacom (Euronext Brussels: BELG) has selected Alcatel-Lucent (Paris and NYSE: ALU) as supplier for the rollout of their fiber-to-the-node VDSL2 network. This will enable Belgacom to offer full triple play services, including HDTV to Belgian households.

Belgacom exceeds expectations
Aug 24, 2007 – Belgacom added 51,683 new TV subscribers in the first half of 2007. Acquisition of Belgacom TV customers accelerated considerably in the second quarter of 2007, with 41,857 new customers. Belgacom exceeds expectations by bringing its total Belgacom TV customer base to 191,348 at the end of June.

Dec 29, 2006 – According to DITTBERNER's recently released report "Global Broadband Subscriber Survey", IPTV subscribers grew 19% to 2.7 Million in 3Q06. PCCW with 638,000 subscribers was the largest IPTV operator.
