Express-80 and Express-103 satellites launched
Aug 3, 2020 – Two satellites, Express-80 and Express-103, ordered by the Russian Satellite Communications Company, have been launched from Baikonur cosmodrome. Full-scale functioning is scheduled to commence in January and February 2021.

Russia's Express-AM8 satellite starts broadcasting
Dec 1, 2015 – Following the completion of in-orbit testing, Russia’s communications and broadcasting satellite, Express-AM8, has been commissioned, at 14°E. Express-AM8 is intended for TV broadcasting, data and internet access and other communications services.

RSCC and Romantis to create DTH platform for Africa
Nov 10, 2014 – Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) and Romantis have announced that they are creating a DTH TV platform with African coverage. The package will enable broadcasters to launch national and regional TV programs across Africa.

Express-AM6 DTH satellite put into orbit over Russia
Oct 22, 2014 – Communications and broadcasting satellite Express-AM6 has been launched into orbit. Express-AM6 will be deployed at 53°E, to provide coverage of European Russia, the Urals and Western Siberia as well as the Middle East, Europe and Africa.

24% of Russian homes equipped for satellite TV reception
May 15, 2013 – The results of a survey produced by Eutelsat and Ipsos on TV reception modes and trends in Russia has shown that of the 53 million TV homes in Russia, 24% are equipped for Direct-to-Home satellite reception, making satellite the country's leading platform for digital television.

RSCC and Eutelsat Partner on Roadmap for Satellite in Russia
Nov 1, 2012 – RSCC (the Russian Satellite Communication Company) and Eutelsat (Euronext Paris: ETL) have announced an agreement whereby Eutelsat will lease capacity for broadcasting and IP services on two RSCC satellites to be launched in 2013 and 2015.

RSCC plans satellites for 3D and HDTV in Russia
Apr 22, 2010 – RSCC, the national satellite communications operator of Russia, is planning two new DTH satellites Express-AT1 and Express-AT2. At least 25% capacity on each is to be used for digital TV platforms in 3D and HDTV format for the Russian Federation.
